Description
Rose petals, marigold, blue pea flower and a base of green leaf, blended for the way it behaves in hot water. Pour and watch: the blue pea releases first and the whole cup turns indigo, then the petals open and the colour settles somewhere between violet and amber.
Add a drop of lime and it turns pink in front of you. That is not a trick, it is the pH of the flower doing what it has always done. It is also the reason this pack is the one people photograph before they remember to drink it.
What it tastes like
Soft and faintly sweet, with the green leaf keeping it from turning into perfume. Rose leads, marigold rounds it off. It is gentle by design.
How to brew it
One teaspoon in 150ml of water at 80°C, three minutes. Any hotter and the flowers stew. Glass is better than ceramic here, because half of this tea is what you can see.
When to give it
This is our gifting tea. We send it when somebody starts a new job, moves into a new house, or opens something of their own. Twenty five grams is small on purpose. It is meant to be finished while the occasion is still fresh.
